Oakworks Medical, a Division of Oakworks Inc. announced certification of their quality management system to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2003 standard. 13485 is a global standard specifically for medical device quality systems.

The ISO standard is intended to ensure that medical device manufacturers have the required quality management systems in place to safely design, manufacture and distribute medical devices. This registration certifies that Oakworks Medical's quality system conforms to these requirements. "In the last year we worked hard to bring our quality system throughout our facility up to this level. We are very proud of this achievement and know that all Oakworks customers will benefit from it," said Rich Elsen, Chief Sales Officer. Joe D'Antonio, Director of Business Development, went on to say "Oakworks Medical can now partner with leading medical equipment dealers around the world who have expressed strong interest in selling our products, allowing us to quickly grow into the global market."

Oakworks Medical will be attending several medical industry trade shows in 2012, including ISIS July 17th -21st, RSNA November 25th-30th and MEDICA November 14th-17th. The annual scientific meeting for International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS) will take place in Las Vegas this year, and will highlight some of the most important industry advances in research, technology and procedure. The Radiological Society of North America (RNSA) meeting in Chicago will focus on Radiologic science, education and technology. The MEDICA Conference in Düsseldorf, Germany serves as a World Forum for Medicine, drawing participants from many specialties in the medical field. Oakworks Medical will be showcasing their innovative products, designed for a wide range of medical treatments and procedures, at these and other medical industry events over the course of the year in order to highlight the superior construction and increasing specialization, designed to meet the demands of nearly every health care professional.
